급하게 쓰인 채, 그 보고서는 필요한 세부 정보와 일관성이 부족했다.

 

vi. 접속사 + 분사구문

분사구문을 나타내는 경우 의미를 명확하게 표현하려 한다면

→ 접속사를 생략하지 않으며, 분사구문을 만든다.

 

As soon as seeing her, he ran away.

= As soon as he saw her, he ran away.

그녀를 보자마자 그는 도망갔다.

While walking through the park, they enjoyed the cool breeze.

= While they walked through the park, they enjoyed the cool breeze.

그들은 공원을 걷는 동안 시원한 바람을 즐겼다.

 

vii. 완료 분사구문

- 완료 분사구문은, 이미 발생한 동작이나 상태를 나타내는 데 표현된다. 이는 동작이 완료되었거나 특정 상태에 도달했음을 나타낸다.

- 부사절의 시제가 주절의 시제보다 이전일 때, [Having + 과거분사] 형태로 분사구문을 나타낸다.

 

Having completed the marathon, he felt a sense of accomplishment and relief.

= As he had completed the marathon, he felt a sense of accomplishment and relief.

마라톤을 완주한 후, 그는 성취감과 안도감을 느꼈다.

"Having completed the marathon"은 그가 마라톤을 이미 완주했다는 내용을 표현한다.

Having been warned about the storm, they canceled the trip.

= Since they had been warned about the storm, they canceled the trip.

폭풍에 대한 경고를 받았기 때문에 그들은 여행을 취소했다.

분사구문의 시제는 주절의 영향을 받으며, 부사절의 시제가 주절의 시제보다 이전일 때는 완료 분사구문을 표현한다.
